Shift Manager

About the role

The job involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a Shift Manager, responsibilities include ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and training crew members.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor shifts to ensure great customer experience
• Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards in terms of quality, service, and cleanliness
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare for their shift
• Meet and exceed targets set for the shift
• Support assigned departments in meeting their goals
• Manage food safety, internal communication, inventory, daily maintenance, and crew scheduling
• Train crew members on exceptional customer service, safety, and security

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule and willingness to have fun while working
• Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager

Pay and Benefits

Certified Shift Manager salary starts at $17 per hour and can go up to $26 per hour, depending on certification status. Benefits include 5-10 days of paid time off, educational opportunities, medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability insurance, and more.
