About the role
The role involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a Shift Manager, responsibilities include planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, overseeing crew, and training.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor each shift to ensure high-quality service and cleanliness.
- Ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
- Meet and help meet departmental goals.
- Manage food safety, internal communication, inventory management, daily maintenance and cleanliness, crew management, and quality food production.
- Handle exceptional customer service and safety/security issues.
- Schedule staff and manage their availability.
- Train new and existing employees.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Must be 18 years or older.
