Shift Manager

About the role

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Responsibilities include planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with McDonald’s standards, managing safety and security, and communicating with the next Shift Manager.

Responsibilities

• Planning and executing shifts to meet customer needs
• Maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness
• Monitoring performance and taking corrective actions as needed
• Ensuring compliance with McDonald’s standards and regulations
• Communicating effectively with the team and the next Shift Manager
• Managing inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness
• Managing crew and addressing any issues that arise
• Meeting targets and supporting departmental goals
• Ensuring food safety and exceptional customer service
• Managing safety and security protocols
• Providing training and development opportunities

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to the demands of the job
• Ability to communicate effectively and manage a team
• Age 18 or older

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• English as a second language proficiency

Pay

Starting pay rate is $18/hour. Please note that this is for a franchisee-operated restaurant and not McDonald’s USA.

Schedule

Shifts vary based on the needs of the restaurant and the individual’s availability.
