Shift Manager

About the role

The job is for a Shift Manager position at a McDonald’s restaurant operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. Employees hired for this position will work directly for the franchisee.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high Quality, Service and Cleanliness standards.
• Monitor performance during the shift, take necessary actions to meet McDonald’s standards, and ensure safety and security.
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to help prepare them for their shift.
• Meet targets during their shifts and assist in meeting Department goals.
• Manage food safety, internal communication, inventory, daily maintenance and cleanliness, crew quality, customer service, and security.
• Train new employees and enhance existing skills.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• Positive team player with a flexible schedule and enthusiasm for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be considered for this role.

Pay

$16.50 to $18.00 starting pay.
