Shift Manager

About the role

This job posting is for a Shift Manager position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. Employment matters are handled by the franchisee, not McDonald’s USA.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts weekly, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards.
• Perform tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication with the next Shift Manager.
• Meet and help meet departmental targets, manage inventory, conduct daily maintenance and cleanliness checks, and ensure quality food production.
• Ensure exceptional customer service, handle food safety, and manage staff effectively.
• Manage schedules and train crew members.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility with a willingness to work various shifts.
• Must be 18 years or older to be considered for management positions.
