About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They oversee the team and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure efficient operations
- Maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards and policies
- Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for the following shift
- Meet and exceed targets set for the shift
- Support Department goals by assisting with inventory management, daily maintenance, and crew training
- Manage crew members and address any issues that arise
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed
- Oversee safety and security measures
- Schedule staff to meet operational needs
- Train new and existing employees
Requirements
A background in leadership, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting, is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Skills
Effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential. Familiarity with McDonald’s systems and procedures is beneficial.
