About the role

The role involves leading shifts in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness, managing inventory, and maintaining a safe and secure workplace. Shift Managers are responsible for meeting targets and helping departments achieve their goals.

Responsibilities

• Leading shifts to deliver a fast, accurate, and friendly customer experience
• Making plans for each shift and monitoring performance
• Taking actions to ensure team meets McDonald’s standards
• Monitoring safety, security, and profitability
• Communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare for their shift
• Ensuring food safety
• Managing inventory and daily maintenance
• Maintaining cleanliness
• Managing crew
• Producing high-quality food
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Ensuring safety and security
• Scheduling staff
• Training crew members

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
• A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• A flexible schedule and the desire to work in the energetic McDonald’s atmosphere
• Must be 18 years or older to apply for management positions

Qualifications

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent. No specific certifications are required, but previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

Pay

• Starting rate: $16.50 per hour
• MD/Montgomery County: $19.00 per hour

Schedule

Shifts are typically 8 hours long, Monday through Saturday. Specific schedules are determined by the franchisee and may vary.
