Shift Manager

About the role

The job involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant, ensuring high-quality service, cleanliness, and adherence to McDonald’s standards. The role requires managing a team, planning shifts, monitoring performance, and handling various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Leading shifts to deliver fast, accurate, and friendly service to customers.
• Making sure the team meets McDonald’s quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Monitoring safety, security, and profitability during shifts.
• Communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare for their shift.
• Meeting and helping departments meet their targets.
• Ensuring food safety, internal communication, inventory management, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Managing crew and overseeing quality food production.
• Providing exceptional customer service and managing safety and security.
• Scheduling staff and managing their shifts.
• Training new employees and existing staff.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
• A flexible schedule and the enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager in a corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurant.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Pay

$17 to $21 per hour.

Schedule

Shifts are typically 8 hours long, Monday through Saturday, with varying start times.
