About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
- Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Oversee food safety protocols and production quality.
- Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for the following shift.
- Help departments meet their goals and targets during shifts.
- Handle scheduling and staff management.
- Train new employees and enhance existing skills.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility with a schedule to accommodate the demands of a shift manager role.
- Must be 18 years or older to manage in a corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurant.
