Shift Manager

About the role

The job involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate company and employer, responsible for all employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure quality, service, and cleanliness
• Monitor performance and take corrective actions
• Ensure safety, security, and profitability
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare for their shift
• Meet and exceed departmental targets
• Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness
• Ensure exceptional customer service
• Manage crew and handle scheduling
• Perform food safety checks
• Train new employees

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule and willingness to have fun
• Must be 18 years or older to apply for management positions

Pay and Benefits

Certified Shift Manager salary starts at $17 per hour with a maximum of $26 per hour. Starting wages may be lower if certifications are not yet completed. Benefits include:
