Shift Manager

About the role

This job posting is for a Shift Manager position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to ensure great Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
• Perform a variety of tasks, including planning for each shift, monitoring performance, taking action to ensure standards are met, monitoring safety and security, and communicating with the next Shift Manager.
• Meet targets during shifts and help assigned Departments meet their goals.
• Manage food safety, internal communication, inventory management, daily maintenance and cleanliness, quality food production, exceptional customer service, safety and security, and crew management.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with a flexible schedule and passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate owned restaurants.

Pay

$16.00 to $17.50 per hour.
