Shift Manager
About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience on every visit. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers perform various tasks including planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with McDonald’s standards, managing safety and security, and communicating with the next Shift Manager.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor each shift to ensure quality, service, and cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards
- Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift
- Manage safety and security
- Manage inventory and daily maintenance
- Train and supervise staff
- Meet and exceed departmental targets
- Handle food safety and internal communication
- Manage crew and handle scheduling
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work in a dynamic setting
- Must be 18 years or older to manage in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants
