Shift Manager

About the role

The job involves leading shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. Shift Managers perform various tasks such as planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, managing crew, and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure great Quality, Service, and Cleanliness to customers.
• Plan for each shift and monitor performance during the shift.
• Ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards and take necessary actions.
• Monitor safety, security, and profitability.
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to help prepare them for their shift.
• Meet targets during their shifts and help assigned Departments meet their goals.
• Manage food safety, internal communication, inventory management, daily maintenance and cleanliness, quality food production, exceptional customer service, safety and security, and scheduling.
• Train crew members.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with a flexible schedule and passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 17 years or older to be a manager in our locally owned and operated restaurants.

Qualifications

Ability to quickly earn more dependent on completion of training and job performance.

Skills

Leadership, communication, multitasking, problem-solving, and customer service skills are essential.

Pay

• $16.00 per hour shift leaders with limited availability.
• $17.00 per hour shift leaders with 2 shift/open availability.

Schedule

Shift leaders with limited availability start at $16.00 per hour, while those with 2 shift/open availability start at $17.00 per hour. Pay increases depend on completion of training and job performance.
