Shift Manager
About the role
The role involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. This franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for employment matters.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
- Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
- Maintain safety, security, and profitability during the shift.
- Communicate with the next Shift Manager to help prepare them for their shift.
- Meet targets during the shift and assist in meeting departmental goals.
- Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Ensure exceptional customer service.
- Manage crew effectively.
- Manage food safety protocols.
- Train new employees as needed.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- A positive attitude and a passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager.
