Shift Manager

About the role

The job is for a Shift Manager position at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate company and employer, and McDonald’s USA has no control over employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to ensure great Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
• Maintain performance during the shift, take action to meet McDonald’s standards, monitor safety, security, and profitability.
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to help prepare him/her to run a great shift.
• Meet targets during shifts and help assigned Departments meet their goals.
• Ensure food safety, internal communication, inventory management, daily maintenance and cleanliness, quality food production, exceptional customer service, and safety and security.
• Manage crew and handle scheduling.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with a flexible schedule and passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned and operated restaurants.
