Shift Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts every week to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. Shift Managers are responsible for various tasks such as planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness, managing inventory, maintaining daily maintenance and cleanliness, overseeing crew, ensuring food safety, communicating with the next Shift Manager, and meeting targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure great Quality, Service and Cleanliness to customers.
• Plan for each shift and monitor performance during the shift.
• Take action to ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards.
• Maintain safety, security, and profitability.
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to help prepare them for their shift.
• Meet targets during their shifts and help assigned Departments meet their goals.
• Manage crew, inventory, and daily maintenance and cleanliness.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and food safety.
• Oversee safety and security measures.
• Schedule staff and manage their availability.
• Train new and existing employees.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• A positive attitude and a passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants.

Qualifications

While not specified, previous leadership experience and a strong background in customer service are preferred. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.

Skills

Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to multitask are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a basic understanding of inventory management and scheduling systems are beneficial.
