About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
- Oversee safety and security measures.
- Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for the following shift.
- Meet and exceed targets set during their shifts.
- Support Department goals by helping to manage inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and managing staff.
- Manage food safety protocols.
- Handle internal communications and inventory management.
- Perform daily maintenance and cleanliness checks.
- Train new and existing employees.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to the demands of the job.
- Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants.
