About the role
The role involves leading shifts every week to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. Shift Managers are responsible for various tasks including planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and training crew members.
Responsibilities
- Planning and monitoring shifts to ensure high-quality service
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Ensuring compliance with McDonald’s standards
- Communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare for their shift
- Meeting and exceeding shift targets
- Supporting departmental goals
- Managing crew and handling customer complaints
- Performing food safety checks
- Managing inventory and daily maintenance
- Training new employees
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Must be 18 years or older
Qualifications
While previous leadership experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Applicants should demonstrate a strong ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Skills
Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain a professional demeanor under pressure are also important.

Pay
Shift Manager Trainee: $32,000/yr. estimated
Certified Shift Manager: $34,300/yr. estimated
Schedule
Shift schedules vary based on the needs of the restaurant and the individual’s availability. Positions are available part-time and full-time.
