About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards and policies.
- Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for the following shift.
- Meet and exceed targets set for the shift.
- Support Department goals by assisting with inventory management, daily maintenance, and crew training.
- Manage crew members, addressing any issues that arise.
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed.
- Oversee safety and security measures.
- Schedule staff based on operational needs.
- Train new and existing employees.
Requirements
A minimum of 18 years of age is required to apply for this position. Previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting, is preferred. Applicants should demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A background in food service or a related field is beneficial, though not mandatory.
