Shift Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts in a restaurant managed by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
• Maintain safety, security, and profitability during the shift.
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
• Meet targets set during the shift and assist in meeting departmental goals.
• Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Ensure exceptional customer service.
• Manage crew effectively.
• Ensure food safety.
• Perform various tasks including planning for each shift, monitoring performance, and managing quality food production.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager in a corporate-owned and operated McDonald’s restaurant.
