About the role

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and monitor shifts to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards and policies.
  • Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for the following shift.
  • Meet and exceed targets set for the shift.
  • Support Department goals by assisting in meeting targets.
  • Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure food safety protocols are followed.
  • Train new and existing staff members.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to the demands of the job.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage a team.
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply for management positions.

Qualifications

While not specified, candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Skills

Effective communication, problem-solving, time management, and leadership skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is beneficial.
