About the role
The role involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a Shift Manager, responsibilities include planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, overseeing safety and security, and training crew members.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor each shift to ensure high-quality service and cleanliness
- Maintain inventory levels and manage daily maintenance
- Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare for their shift
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards and targets
- Manage crew members and assist in achieving departmental goals
- Handle food safety and internal communication
- Manage scheduling and train new employees
Requirements
- Previous McDonald’s leadership experience (Crew Trainer, Shift Leader)
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work various hours
- Age 18 or older
Qualifications
Applicants should have a strong understanding of McDonald’s standards and procedures, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and staff. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Skills
Effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential. The ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously is crucial.
