Shift Manager
About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure efficient service
- Maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards and policies
- Communicate effectively with the next shift manager to prepare for the following shift
- Meet and exceed targets set for the shift
- Support and manage the assigned departments to achieve their goals
- Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness
- Ensure food safety and proper production
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Oversee safety and security protocols
- Schedule staff and manage their availability
- Train new and existing employees
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to the demands of the job
- Age 18 or older to qualify as a manager in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants
