About the role
The role involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. This franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. Employment matters, such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling, are handled by the franchisee.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
- Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift.
- Maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
- Monitor safety, security, and profitability.
- Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare for their shift.
- Meet targets during shifts and assist in meeting department goals.
- Manage inventory, food safety, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and food production quality.
- Manage crew effectively.
- Perform various tasks including planning for shifts, monitoring performance, and addressing issues.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work in the McDonald’s environment.
- Must be 18 years or older to be considered for management positions.
