Shift Manager
About the role
The job involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant, ensuring high-quality service, cleanliness, and adherence to McDonald’s standards. Shift Managers are responsible for various tasks including planning shifts, monitoring performance, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and training staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts to ensure quality, service, and cleanliness
- Plan for each shift and monitor performance
- Take action to ensure team meets McDonald’s standards
- Maintain safety, security, and profitability
- Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare for their shift
- Meet targets during shifts and assist in meeting department goals
- Manage food safety, internal communication, inventory, daily maintenance, and crew
- Ensure exceptional customer service and manage quality food production

Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work in a dynamic, energetic atmosphere
- At least 18 years old to qualify as a manager in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants
Qualifications
Applicants should have a strong background in leadership and management, with experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
