Shift Manager
About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication with the next Shift Manager.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards and policies.
- Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for the following shift.
- Meet and exceed targets set for the shift.
- Support and guide the team to achieve departmental goals.
- Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed.
- Handle exceptional customer service situations.
- Oversee safety and security measures.
- Schedule staff and manage their availability.
- Train new and existing employees.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to the demands of the job.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Age 18 or older.
