Shift Manager

About the role

Shift Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience at every visit. They oversee the team and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Plan for each shift
• Maintain performance during the shift
• Take actions to ensure team meets McDonald’s standards
• Monitor safety, security, and profitability
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift
• Meet targets during their shifts
• Help assigned Departments meet their goals
• Manage food safety internally
• Handle inventory management
• Oversee daily maintenance and cleanliness
• Ensure quality food production
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Ensure safety and security
• Schedule and manage staff
• Train new and existing staff

Requirements

• Positive team player with a flexible schedule
• Passionate about working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment
• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting

Qualifications

Open availability and teamwork are key qualities for this role. No specific education level is required, but previous experience in a similar role can be beneficial.
