About the role

Domino's Pizza is hiring Shift Managers as the first step in our Management Program. This role is responsible for opening or closing stores and ensuring we operate at our highest level every day. It's a challenging position that requires judgment, math skills, and the ability to multitask. You'll work for a fun and flexible company, gaining valuable work experience for your future.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory, cash control, and customer relations
  • Set the example by following ALL policies and procedures 100% of the time and expecting the same from your crew
  • Complete paperwork and manage food inventory
  • Adhere to schedules, image standards, and customer service expectations
  • Ensure attendance, punctuality, and store cleanliness
  • Handle marketing and profitability initiatives
  • Receive and process telephone orders while handling sensitive customer information responsibly
  • Execute credit transactions and provide quality customer service through positive interactions
  • Work as part of a team, assist other workstations, and complete closing duties including cleaning
  • Operate all equipment and clean the facility daily
  • Perform assigned workstation duties: making quality products, preparing ingredients, and taking orders
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
  • Deliver pizzas within a designated area using an insured vehicle (valid driver’s license required)
  • Deliver flyers and door hangers

Requirements

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
  • Ability to make correct monetary change
  • Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen
  • Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the delivery area
  • Ability to memorize recipes and portion amounts or follow detailed job aids
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards
  • Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries

Work Conditions

Exposure to:

  • Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions (e.g., removing trash, deliveries)
  • In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F+ in work areas
  • Sudden temperature changes
  • Food odors and cornmeal dust
  • Cramped quarters, including the walk-in cooler
  • Hot surfaces/tools (oven up to 500°F or higher)
  • Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts

Sensory Requirements:

  • Talking and hearing on the phone
  • Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks
  • Depth perception and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
  • Far vision and night vision for driving

Temperaments:

  • Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, and work alone or with others
  • Work under stress and meet strict quality control standards
  • Deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions

Physical Requirements

  • Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces
  • Walking: Short distances for short durations; delivery personnel travel between store, vehicle, and customer locations
  • Sitting: Paperwork completed at a desk or table
  • Lifting: Unload bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs) using a hand truck; stack cases onto shelves up to 72" high
  • Carrying: Large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray), and pizzas/beverages during delivery
  • Pushing/Pulling: Move trays on dollies (force up to 7.5 lbs)
  • Climbing: Navigate stairs or ladders for maintenance or deliveries (up to 5+ flights)
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist (e.g., pizza assembly, stocking ingredients)
  • Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas
  • Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning oven controls, stocking shelves, or answering phones
  • Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination essential; frequent use of hands for shaping dough, using pizza peel, cutting pizza, assembling boxes, and handling tools
