Shift Maintenance Mechanic Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Maintenance Technicians to ensure safe, cost-effective, high-quality maintenance services.
• Maintain machinery availability, capacity, and reliability.
• Mentor Maintenance Apprentices and help drive team development opportunities.
• Proactively address and prevent machine issues to minimize downtime.
• Support team in developing and implementing standard work procedures.
• Perform mechanical and electrical service and repairs, including advanced troubleshooting.
• Assist in preventative maintenance tasks as needed.
• Ensure a safe and organized work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional team efforts.
• Support shift operations during non-business hours as required.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An electrical, mechanical, or E/M degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an electrical, mechanical, or E/M technician.
• Ability to work safely on elevated platforms and heights.
• Available to work overtime and cover shifts as necessary.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Experience in assembly, installation, and setup of mechanical modifications and drive system components.
• Experience installing electrical upgrades and modifications.
• Strong leadership skills, including conflict resolution.
