Responsibilities

  • Manage the product, process, and people required to execute a shift with supervisory and decision-making authority
  • Assign tasks to team members and respond to guest complaints
  • Set shift goals and align processes and tasks to these goals
  • Ensure team meets benchmarks for success, address equipment issues, and handle opening and closing tasks
  • Train and coach team members to develop skills and ensure procedural standards are met
  • Create a culture of high performance and mentor team members
  • Communicate performance concerns to the General Manager
  • Prioritize guest and team member experience and resolve complaints respectfully
  • Maintain positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example
  • Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals
  • Delegate tasks and supervise performance during a shift
  • Ensure compliance with all Zaxby’s Franchising LLC and Zax LLC guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Uphold service, product quality, and cleanliness standards
  • Enhance guest experiences by ensuring team members satisfy and exceed expectations
  • Receive and reconcile truck deliveries, stock product, and complete daily inventory counts
  • Monitor prepping, cooking, and holding processes; take corrective action when necessary
  • Track food safety and quality throughout the shift and ensure accurate orders
  • Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete
  • Collaborate with management to develop goals and report progress
  • Follow company cash management policies and maintain accurate records
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws
  • Ensure team works safely and follows all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Report human resources and risk management concerns to the General Manager and District Manager
  • Perform other duties necessary to ensure restaurant operations function properly

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Part-time: Available to work 9 to 28 hours per week
  • Full-time: Available to work 32 to 40 hours per week
  • Successful completion of background check
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others
  • Follows company standards and local laws regarding employee time punches
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Technological savvy; knowledge of required company software and tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to make sound judgments and decisions aligned with company standards and values
  • Servant leader mindset
  • Leadership experience preferred

Capability Requirements

  • Sit, stand, and walk continuously
  • Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including the use of ladders
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including lifting overhead
  • Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation
  • Communicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writing
  • Maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception to observe and respond to the environment
  • Work in an environment with hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens
  • Operate and work safely with restaurant equipment including knives, fryers, and potentially hazardous equipment
