Shift Leader (Part-Time)

About the role

Zaxbys is an indescribably great place to work, and we're looking for a Shift Leader to manage the product, process, and people required to execute a shift. This role has supervisory and decision-making power to assign tasks to team members and respond to guest complaints.

The Shift Leader ensures their team is meeting benchmarks for success, takes care of issues with equipment, and is responsible for closing and opening tasks. As a leader in the restaurant, the Shift Leader continuously trains and coaches team members to further develop skills and ensure procedural standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Complete all training requirements, including Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan and Food Safety Certification
• Create a culture of high-performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to your General Manager
• Prioritize the guest and team member experience and resolve complaints and concerns in a friendly and respectful manner
• Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift
• Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all Zaxby’s Franchising LLC and Zax LLC guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld
• Enhance guest experiences by ensuring that team members satisfy and exceed guest expectations
• Manage food production and quality by monitoring prepping, cooking, and holding processes and taking corrective action when necessary
• Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete
• Collaborate with management team to develop goals and report back to management on goal progress
• Follow company cash management policies and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Successful completion of background check
• Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others
• Follows company standards and local laws with regards to employee time punches
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Technological savvy; knowledge of required company software and tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• Conflict resolution skills and ability to make sound judgements and decisions which align with company standards and values
• Servant leader mindset and leadership experience preferred
