Shift Leader

Vitality Bowls specializes in making delicious acai bowls, a thick blend of the acai berry topped with organic granola and a selection of superfood ingredients. Additional antioxidant-rich menu items include smoothies, fresh juices, soups, salads and panini. All items are made fresh in non-cross contamination kitchens to ensure safety for guests with food allergies. No ingredient fillers such as ice, frozen yogurt, added sugar, or artificial preservatives are used, giving the purest taste possible.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team and manage shifts by delegating tasks
• Demonstrate exemplary job knowledge and excellent customer service
• Resolve customer issues politely to ensure satisfaction
• Accept deliveries and communicate with managers/owners about inventory status
• Manage daily petty cash and break schedules
• Attend management meetings
• Assist with interviews, evaluations, and training
• Memorize training material
• Maintain cleanliness of the front lobby and outside area
• Provide excellent customer service, assist guests, ring up orders, answer phone calls, and take phone orders
• Prep food according to proper procedures
• Continuously and thoroughly clean the kitchen and lobby
• Communicate with staff to ensure orders are made correctly and timely
• Communicate with managers about scheduling
• Complete all opening and closing duties
• Perform additional tasks requested by your manager
• Handle special circumstances
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers

Requirements

• Become food certified
• Ability to use a basic computer, POS system, handle cash, and process credit cards
• Follow health, sanitary, and safety requirements
• Ability to stand for long periods, occasionally lift heavy boxes, move quickly, and maintain a sense of urgency
• Maintain a clean and work-appropriate personal appearance
• Come to work with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with others
• Demonstrate leadership abilities
