About the role

The role involves managing hourly team members, interacting with guests, and executing daily duties following standard procedures and recipe guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Hourly Team Members and interacts with Guests in a friendly, professional, and responsive way
• Executes opening, mid, and closing duties daily following Velvet Taco’s standard procedures and recipe guidelines
• Handles Guest concerns and guides them toward a positive resolution
• Performs cash-handling, sets up POS drawers, performs comps and voids, and manages deposits during the shift
• Presents self as a leader among the Team Members and motivates others to follow procedures and ensure a positive Guest experience
• De-escalates issues between Team Members and makes everyone feel heard
• Supports Management with the inventory process
• Maintains food safety by performing line checks, checking shelf storage and expiration dates for prepped food, and keeping the restaurant clean and in order
• Manages the daily prep list and signs off on all prepped items to ensure adherence to specifications and flavor profiles
• Maintains a safe environment for Team Members and Guests by enforcing the use of cut gloves, keeping floors clean and dry, and removing obstacles
• Communicates and delivers a friendly, welcoming, exceptional guest experience
• Embraces feedback, is eager to learn, and takes accountability for their actions
• Manages time effectively in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable in all areas of the restaurant
