Shift Leader

About the Role

As a brand ambassador, Shift Leaders will help our guests meet their fitness and nutrition goals by assisting them to select smoothies and retail products that inspire them to live a healthy and active lifestyle. A Shift Leader will also provide guidance to team members when the General Manager is not in the store. The successful shift leader will be passionate about the brand and demonstrate willingness to take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in the overall operations of the store in a leadership capacity.
• Ensure a superior guest experience, maximize sales performance, and drive profitability while maintaining a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
• Complete store opening/closing and follow opening/closing procedures.
• Make bank deposits and reconcile daily cash drops.
• Assist the General Manager with product ordering.
• Communicate and execute positive brand impression to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Ensure consistency and high-quality preparation of smoothies and guest service.
• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of all areas.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.

Essential Functions

• Operates a blender and POS cashier system.
• Regularly moves boxes weighing up to 55 lbs. throughout the store.
• Constantly positions self to bend, reach, and scoop throughout assigned shifts.
• Must be able to tolerate exposure to food allergens.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid Food Protection Manager Certification and provide a copy of valid certification.
• Prior retail sales experience in the Nutrition/Fitness industry is a plus.
• Microsoft Office knowledge required.
• Knowledgeable of general POS functionality.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to give and receive feedback.
• Must be extremely reliable.
