About the role
Potbelly Sandwich Shop is seeking friendly and outgoing individuals to join our team. We are a nationwide chain with over 400 locations, known for our toasty sandwiches and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop team members to ensure outstanding product quality and customer service
- Manage and control costs for each shift
- Count drawers and follow proper cash handling procedures
- Prepare and restock food items efficiently
- Clean and maintain the kitchen and dining area
- Handle customer complaints and issues effectively
- Operate cash register and handle transactions
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment (preferred)
- Food Safety certification within 30 days of employment (Illinois applicants)
- A friendly, customer-focused attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Qualifications
- Pass Food Safety Certification
- Must comply with health and safety standards
