Shift Leader

About the role

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Shift Leaders to join our team at Modern Market Eatery, a farm-fresh eatery serving awesome food in a fast-paced, open kitchen setting. This role is ideal for someone passionate about ensuring shifts run smoothly and guest service expectations are met.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and delegate side work tasks
• Continually monitor food and food quality
• Properly perform opening and closing procedures as the manager in charge of those shifts
• Run the shift while ensuring all employees take their mandatory breaks at the appropriate time
• Work all stations in the restaurant, recognizing where you are most needed at any given time
• Assist the Manager with other duties as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of restaurant shift leader experience required
• Exceptional communication skills
• Food handlers and alcohol service training preferred
• Ability to coordinate work of self and others
• Ability to multi-task

Pay

This position is paid hourly and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable laws. Shift Leaders are eligible to participate in tip sharing, which can add upwards of $2/hour additional pay and is paid out each pay period.
