An entry-level supervisory position supporting the Restaurant General Manager and Assistant Manager with daily restaurant operations. The Shift Leader conveys the Wingstop culture, acts as a creative team player, and demonstrates dedication to the brand’s success. This is an exciting leadership opportunity with training provided for those new to management and clear upward mobility to General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Wingstop.
- Assists and supports the General Manager in meeting store goals, driving sales, and controlling labor and food costs during shifts.
- Ensures a safe restaurant environment for team members and guests; fosters a culture of respect, recognition, and reward.
- Maintains a calm demeanor during high-volume or unusual events to uphold operating standards and set a positive example.
- Develops positive relationships with the shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns.
- Assists all other positions when necessary.
- Delivers excellent customer service with a guest-first attitude, discovering and responding to guest needs.
- Follows cash management and cash register policies; ensures proper cash handling practices by the shift team.
- Resolves low-level guest issues efficiently and with a positive attitude.
- Maintains operational standards; identifies and communicates maintenance problems to the Facilities Department.
- Uses company-provided tools to coach, mentor, and develop team members into a high-performing restaurant team.
- Ensures all risk management issues follow company standards and communicates updates from management to the team.
Requirements
- 1 year of previous food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory experience preferred but not required (this is an entry-level manager opportunity).
- Food Handler Certification required once hired.
- 6 months of experience using a register (POS) system.
- Ability to meet restaurant operating policies and standards, including providing quality food, cash handling, and store safety, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Available to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry, push, or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
