About the Role

Each day at Taziki’s is a little different—part of what keeps it exciting! You might have an opening or closing shift. For an opening shift, mornings are spent helping your prep crew ready the store for lunch service and preparing catering orders, ensuring food safety and recipe perfection. Before the doors open, gather your team for pre-shift (or a family meal) and share updates like recipe changes or new features of the Taz Rewards program. You’ll meet community members, touch tables, and assist with take-out orders, getting to know guests by name.

During afternoons, manage shift changes, help on the line, and prepare for dinner orders. For PM shifts, check team stations, assist with busy online orders, and provide great dine-in service. As the shift winds down, create prep sheets for the AM team using evening counts and catering orders to set them up for success.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests and make meaningful connections
• Perform opening and closing tasks
• Be responsible for the restaurant when a manager isn’t on duty
• Set the tone for the shift and give clear directions to your team
• Master menu and product knowledge
• Support or work stations (including kitchen) as needed
• Prep food and complete side work
• Follow proper cash handling and payment procedures
• Maintain Health Department standards throughout each shift
• Follow alcohol handling policies and procedures
• Ensure proper food handling and storage
• Maintain proper hygiene, uniform, and appearance

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Prior food service experience preferred
• Leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies and procedures
• Energetic, ready to learn, and passionate about fresh food
• Work a flexible schedule
• Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy
• Must obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after beginning employment

Schedule

• Morning shift: 7am – 4pm
• Evenings: 4pm – 10pm
• Weekends and holidays (when applicable; closed Thanksgiving & Christmas)

Hours vary by store.

Working Conditions

• Typical restaurant kitchen environment with equipment such as flattop, char grill, oven, slicer, mixer, and food processor

Physical Requirements

• Walking/standing for extended periods
• Reaching and bending
• Lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds
• Wiping, twisting, and cooking
