About the Role

The Shift Leader partners with the store management team to learn and assist with the overall operations of the store on an assigned shift. This includes Customer Service, Food Service, and marketing. They will assist in training and directing the customer service representative in their duties as required by company policy and procedures while learning basic management duties.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in all customer service representative job responsibilities.
• Practices and promotes the FiveStar treatment (friendly atmosphere, customer’s needs met, suggestive selling).
• Partners with the FiveStar team to provide customers with service as outlined by the company’s policies and procedures.
• Assists in timely and thorough training of customer service representatives.
• Assists in educating the store team on policies and communications.
• Assists store management in ensuring inventory control methods are in place, equipment is in good condition, and safety and robbery prevention guidelines are followed.
• Partners with store management to assure quality food operation.
• Follows up with store employees on communications, including emails, weekly and monthly specials, and company-wide programs.
• Responsible for merchandising, including evaluating displays, pricing, and promotional signage.
• Educates store employees.

• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Team player, customer-focused, honest, hardworking, and excellent attendance.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work on different shifts (a.m., p.m., overnight), weekends, and holidays.
• Daily standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, climbing, walking, lifting (up to 55 lbs.), working in cold indoor environments (35 degrees or less), and food service preparation.
• Ability to work in varying seasonal weather conditions.
