About the role
As a Shift Lead in Golden, CO, you are responsible for safely managing the shift operation, supporting the can team’s continuous development, and working at both the situational and systemic level. This position leads the operational execution and sustainability of World Class Supply Chain (WCSC) efforts for the Rocky Mountain Metal Company (RMMC) area and teams through involvement, performance management, and personal leadership. Reporting directly to the Line Lead, you will implement programs, policies, and procedures, and coordinate efforts and resources across teams to achieve shared goals.
Responsibilities
- Operate with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, guiding and monitoring team members in their adherence to Safety, Quality, and optimization of the team’s performance.
- Guide the team to utilize World Class Supply Chain 5S practices.
- Use key performance indicators to optimize team performance.
- Interpret production plan schedule requirements.
- Apply knowledge of relevant hygiene, food safety, health, and safety legislation (including environmental) and safe work practices.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, good communication, an innovative approach, and a real sense of urgency.
- Complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with an understanding of business priorities.
- Possess a strategic thinking and planning mindset by taking initiative and working effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a high-speed production or manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Science, or Business is preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of can-making operations (theory & application), cost management, and LEAN concepts.
- Ability to work either a dayshift (2x2x3) or night shift (4x4) schedule.

Pay
Posting salary range: $83,300.00 - $109,400.00, plus a 10% target short-term incentive. On average, $23,000 is spent on benefits per employee, including health, dental, vision, retirement, wellness incentives, and EAP.
