As a Shift Lead you’ll play a key role in bringing this mission to life by leading on the floor, ensuring smooth operations, and creating an environment where both customers and team members feel valued.

Responsibilities

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers.
• Support the General Manager and train new employees, ensuring they follow all recipes and operational processes.
• Open and close the store safely and responsibly, following all checklists.
• Handle and resolve customer issues that arise during the shift.
• Lead and support store‑level initiatives that increase foot traffic, attract new customers, boost daily sales, and improve operational profitability.

Qualifications

• Love for café culture and people.
• Friendly, open, and approachable; works well with others.
• Strong knowledge of coffee and/or matcha.
• Solid multitasking skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills.
• Passionate about delivering excellent hospitality to build a regular customer base.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in high‑volume environments.
• Exemplary ambassador of the Blank Street brand.
• Desire to foster growth with team members.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in a customer‑service leadership position (e.g., Shift Leader, Shift Supervisor, Key Holder), preferably in hospitality, coffee, or beverage.
• 18+ years of age.
• Able to lift 25+ lb and stand for long periods.
• Availability that meets the needs of our cafés.
• Full‑time schedule: 30–40 hours per week, 4–5 days per week, with ability to work two peak days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E‑Verify).
