Shift Lead Barista

Position

CHAGEE is a modern teahouse expanding to the US market. This role supports baristas, manages POS, and leads the team.

Benefits

Hourly rate of $22 - $24 per hour depending on experience. Eligible for discretionary bonus and 401k with company match. Flexible schedule and daily shifts are available.

Duties

• Support baristas with drink preparation during peak hours
• Manage POS with cash handling and credit card transactions
• Provide excellent customer service
• Lead by example and uphold company values
• Aid with opening and closing store procedures
• Assist managers with staff tasks and OJT
• Address customer complaints and de-escalate situations

Leadership and Training

• Support Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager
• Conduct On-Job-Training (OJT)
• Complete company trainings

Store Sales Performance

Awareness of sales performance and assistance with operations as needed. Assist in marketing and promotion activities.

Inventory Management

Ensure store inventory is arranged and managed properly. Forecast inventory usage and support management with ordering and receiving inventory.

Experience and Skills

• Passionate tea lover
• 1+ years barista experience preferred
• 1+ years leadership experience preferred
• Food Handling Certificate required (company can assist)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fun personality that fits CHAGEE culture
• Fast learner and works well in a team
• Willing to learn additional responsibilities

Essential Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Reaching, crouching, kneeling, and stooping
• Frequent use of computers and handheld equipment
• Frequent lifting/moving up to 25 lbs
