Shift Lead

About the Role

Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems startups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change to cash registers.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with team members.
• Holds store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
• Assists with warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including receiving deliveries.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register, managing scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
• Assists with order exceptions, reverse logistics, and display evaluations.
• Maintains accurate inventory counts and ensures proper product placement.
• Assists with pricing, signage, and regulatory compliance.
• Supports bookkeeping activities and store maintenance.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Conducts bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB, ExCPT certification, or pharmacy license as required by state.

Training & Personal Development

• Attends training and completes PPLs as requested by Manager.

Communications

• Serves as a liaison between management and non-management team members.
• Reports disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

Salary Range: $18.5 - $23.5 / Hourly
