Sheriff's Support Technician - Shift
Shift information
5% additional pay for evening shift work;
7.5% additional pay for night shift work.

Responsibilities
The Human Resources Division may solely conduct an appraisal of application materials should there be an insufficient number of candidates to warrant a written examination.
Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
- Certification of Typing/Keyboarding speed of 45 net words per minute
- Some positions may require possession of a valid California Driver's License
- Transcription speed of 45 net words per minute
- Submit a copy of your typing or keyboard certificate, issued within the last two years, verifying a speed of 45 net words per minute and attach it with your completed application.
- Certificates must conform to testing standards adopted by the Civil Service Commission.

Qualifications
- Character: Applicants must have a reputation for honesty and trustworthiness.
- Felony law convictions will be disqualifying and except for a limited number of minor traffic offenses, misdemeanor convictions may be disqualifying.
- Candidates must pass a thorough background investigation.
