Location: Wichita, KS Organization: St. Anthony Family Shelter Type: Full-Time | In-Person Choose from these open positions: Saturday - Sunday 2pm-10pm; Monday - Wednesday 4pm - Midnight Wednesday-Sunday; 4pm-12am (Mon/Tues; off) Are you passionate about supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness? St. Anthony Family Shelter is seeking a compassionate and dedicated team member to oversee daily shelter operations and assist residents with their day-to-day needs. What You’ll Be Doing: Receive prospective clients and determine eligibility for serviceAdmit clients through established procedures and refer ineligible prospects appropriatelySupervise and assist clients in their daily requirements and enforce shelter guidelinesRecommend and communicate exceptions to shelter guidelinesCollaborate with staff to follow housing plansManage daily shelter requirements and inventoryCoordinate and supervise volunteer interactions with clientsReceive and acknowledge donationsRespond to incoming calls and inquiriesComplete daily logs and documentationMaintain safety and security of the facilityClean rooms as needed for new familiesPerform other related duties as assigned Your Superpowers: Proficiency in Microsoft Office productsWorks effectively with others to achieve shared goalsCommunicates clearly and professionally in both verbal and written forms; actively listens, conveys information effectively, and adapts messaging to diverse audiencesAbility to easily and quickly adjust to changing priorities, environments, and challengesDemonstrates a keen understanding and care for allIdentifies issues, analyzes options, and implements creative solutionsStrives for high-quality work, is detail-oriented, and meets deadlinesShows a strong willingness to learn and stays up to date with best practices What You Will Need to Bring to the Table: High School Diploma or GED; experience in human services or current student in the field consideredClass C driver’s license, motor vehicle, and insurance requiredExperience in a residential facility preferredAbility to establish rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds The Rhythm of the Role: Controlled indoor environment with minimal exposure to fumes, dust, or odorsExerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, frequent walking or standingMay work in multilevel building with stairsFrequent stooping, occasional reaching, and moderate equipment operationAdequate vision, hearing, and speech required for essential functions Why Catholic Charities?
