About the role
The William Booth Center (WBC) Shelter Supervisor is responsible for supervisory responsibilities associated with front desk operations, providing administrative support, and leading and assisting with the training and ongoing support of staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision of Shelter Support Staff in coordination with the Assistant Director of WBC.
- Absorb and participate in all staff meetings.
- Conduct staff meetings for WBC’s shelter program staff.
- Provide policy and procedure guidance to Shelter Support Staff.
- Provide supportive care to residents experiencing personal crises.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in public contact/customer service.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness in a shelter/residential program.
- Experience with and understanding of Trauma-Informed Care, Mental Health First Aid, and conflict resolution.
