Hours/Week: Part Time up to 29 Hrs
Scheduled Hours: Hours vary Sunday through Saturday, to include: a 30-minute unpaid Meal Break after 6 hours of work and two paid 15-minute breaks for every four hours of work.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Purpose

Responsible for leading the guided Tours; directing, educating, and entertaining visitors of the Shelby Heritage Center. When there are not any scheduled tours; assist Store with tasks at hand: prepping/stocking merchandise, keeping store fully stocked, clean, making tour bags, etc.

Essential Job Functions

      Work Environment

      Requires working indoors outdoors, exposure to sounds and noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable when working indoors and may incur exposure to extreme heat weather conditions when in the shop area. May also be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, paint and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials when in the shop area.

      Qualifications

      • Three or more years of similar experience
      • High School/G.E.D. Work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree
      • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment, Random or Reasonable Suspicion Drug Screen(s)
      • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Background Check
