About the role
Mill Rock Packaging (MRP) is a U.S.-based packaging company specializing in high-end, sustainable, and customized graphic paperboard, folding cartons, and commercial printing products. Serving various industries including consumer staples, food and beverage, technology, pharmaceuticals, health, and beauty, MRP is seeking a passionate and agile Sheeter Operator.
Responsibilities
- Make-ready all sections of the sheeter.
- Make-ready production runs achieving proper length and width; operate sheeter in a manner that achieves high quality cut sheets.
- Adjust and change slitting, anvil, and chopping knives.
- Perform quality checks in full compliance with all requirements of the quality system.
- Off-load sheeted stock and preserve as directed (wrap and store).
- Run auto count and print flow to ensure accurate counts for each item.
- Perform routine maintenance, machine cleaning, and preventative maintenance inspections of the sheeter.
- Identify deficiencies of the sheeter; order needed parts and assist in machine repairs.
Requirements
- Passionate and positive “can do” attitude and loves to solve problems.
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence to work on a large machine.
- Possess an ability to work together as a Sheeter Team and embrace how your job impacts the whole team.
- Must have basic computer skills or the ability to learn basic skills.
- Excellent endurance to stand and move about the work area all day.
- Must know how to measure.
- Must become certified to operate the following equipment (We train on the job): clamp truck, motorized hand truck.
Preferred Requirements
- Prior experience in a printing company.
- Forklift certification.
- GED or High School Equivalent.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Work exclusively in the production area, with light and heavy equipment where you stand and walk during your entire shift.
- Full body motion is required for this position including, bending, reaching, lifting, squatting, twisting, and the like.
- Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Exposed to elevated noise levels throughout work shift, hearing protection use is mandatory while in production area.
Qualifications
- Basic Requirements:
- Prior experience in a printing company is preferred but not required.
- Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
- A GED or High School Equivalent is preferred but not required.
