We are looking for a Sheet Metal Mechanic J4 to join our Sheet Metal Shop in Norfolk, Virginia.

Schedule

Hours: 0600-1445 or 1430-2200, Monday-Sunday. Shift: All

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Layout, fabricate, install, and repair sheet metal products related to shipboard construction, HVAC, and habitability
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of various types and sizes of metals
• Perform habitability layout and installation of metal joiner (MJ) bulkheads, MJ doors, berths, galleys, and office outfitting
• Operate press brake, hand brake, power rollers, hand rollers, and general sheet metal fabrication equipment
• Write WAFs and hot work tickets
• Perform trade quality assurance work with little to no supervision

Requirements

• Must meet all Journeyman 3 Sheet Metal Mechanic requirements
• Excellent knowledge of habitability layout and installation of metal joiner components
