Sheet Metal Mechanic

Responsibilities
- Installing ductwork according to blueprints, ensuring proper connections and minimizing air leaks.
- Inspecting and maintaining existing ductwork, identifying and repairing leaks, and ensuring optimal airflow.
- Fixing damaged or malfunctioning ductwork, including replacing sections or making adjustments as needed.
- Fabricating duct components, including cutting, bending, and joining sheet metal, often using specialized tools.
- Installing insulation around ductwork to prevent heat loss or gain, improving energy efficiency.
- Diagnosing issues with the ductwork system and implementing solutions to restore proper function.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of construction experience
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork design, and installation techniques
- Able to work on a ladder or scissor lift
- Able to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Able to diagnose issues and find solutions
- Able to read blueprints and understand architectural and HVAC plans
- Attention to detail, ensuring accurate measurements, connections, and sealing of ductwork
- Customer service skills

Pay

Schedule
Normal work hours are 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, but these times will vary when the production schedule requires.
